Jesus Frees Us.

Above all else, we believe in the good news of Jesus Christ as God and Savior. We believe that He died for us and rose again. We believe that His precious gift of salvation frees us to live our lives in joy and confidence. This gift is for everyone—through grace by faith.

We believe in the Triune God -the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The Creator-Redeemer-Sustainer gives us the power to live fully in Divine grace. God’s promise of steadfast love and mercy in Jesus opens us to a life of trust in Him and generous service to those we know and meet. We hold to the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments. We listen to the witness of others and we watch for the ways God is active in the world around us. Faith opens a place for engaging others in conversation, for seeking the truth, for asking questions and sharing God’s love in word and deed.

What we mean by being part of the ELCA

The Evangelical Lutheran Church (ELCA) is a church that believes God is calling us into the world together. As part of this call, we are committed to addressing social and cultural issues and injustices while we work to provide moral vision, promote the common good, and spread the good news of Jesus.

The ELCA participates in God’s loving purpose for all of creation in many different ways, from the daily actions of members as citizens, to efforts in social service, to public witness for justice.
