August 23, 1973 - September 12, 2026
Praveen Chinnam, age 53, passed away on September 12, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones after a courageous battle with cancer.
Praveen grew up in India, where he completed his bachelor’s degree in engineering before going on to earn a master’s degree in computer science. In 1996, he moved to the United States, where he built a successful career as a Software Architect, a profession that reflected his brilliant mind, curiosity, and lifelong love of learning. In 2004, he and his family moved to Virginia, where they established their home and became an active part of their community.
In 2008, Praveen and his family became official members of KofK Church, where his faith and connection to the church community became an important part of his life. His love for God and his commitment to his faith provided him with strength and guidance throughout his journey. The church community held a special place in his heart, and he cherished the relationships and fellowship he found there.
Praveen was incredibly generous, deeply caring, and always willing to help those around him. He was known for his intelligence, his warm smile, and the kindness he showed to family, friends, and everyone whose life he touched. He had a natural curiosity and was always eager to learn something new.
Above all, Praveen cherished his family. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Mary Bandikalla, and a loving father to his daughters, Nina and Anna Chinnam. Spending time with his family and friends brought him tremendous joy. He treasured the bonds he built with those around him and was always there to offer his love, support, and guidance.
Praveen will be remembered for his generous heart, remarkable intelligence, strength, faith, and the smile he carried with him. His presence brought warmth to those around him, and his love and memory will remain forever in the hearts of his family, friends, and church community.
His life was a blessing, his memory will be treasured, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
