Families & Youth

King of Kings, we seek to include children of all ages in worship, service, and fellowship to provide the building blocks for a life-long relationship with God. We encourage youth to actively participate in church life. Opportunities to sing in the choir, ring bells, play an instrument during worship, help with Sunday School, and even provide leadership in Worship abound!

Confirmation Program

Confirmation at King of Kings is a two-year commitment designed to enhance a confirmand’s knowledge of Scripture and Luther’s Small Catechism and encourages their life-long relationship with God. Confirmation classes begin in 7th grade and culminate at the beginning of 9th grade with the Affirmation of Faith. Classes are held once a month on Sundays from October through April and include spending a week in the summer at Caroline Furnace Camp for their Confirmation Camp.

Sunday School

Our children, aged preschool through 6th grade, can take part in Sunday School during our 10am worship each week. Between the Prayer of the Day and Hymn of the Day, children are dismissed to learn more about the Bible story that is the topic of the sermon. A few times a year, school aged children have the chance to rehearse a song to perform during 10am Worship.

Fellowship Events

Our youth gather for various fun activities including games, movies, and service projects. Every year on Shrove Tuesday, we host, prepare, and serve a pancake supper. Friends are always welcomed.

Kiddo Fiber Arts

Our fiber arts for kids ministry gives children a fun way to explore creativity while learning simple yarn crafts. Each project helps kids see how creativity is one of God’s gifts. All children are welcome, and no experience needed. Fiber Arts dates can be found on our Events Calendar.

Special Events

Throughout the year we offer several special events for youth. Retreats, mission trips, Youth Gathering, and more are available for teens. Join us and become part of this dynamic community!
