OUR SPECIAL NEEDS MINISTRY IS OPEN TO FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN OF ALL ages and ABILITIES. WE WANT TO WALK ALONGSIDE YOU AND YOUR FAMILY TO PROVIDE SUPPORT AND COMMUNITY. ALL CHILDREN HAVE A PLACE AT KING OF KINGS!
King of Kings offers full-inclusion in our typical Sunday School Program and a self-contained Special Needs class specifically designed to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of your child. ALL are welcome!
Our drop-off respite program allows parents three hours of uninterrupted time once per month while we care for your special needs children and their siblings. The program includes a movie, craft activities, outdoor play, and a snack. Reservations are required. Click HERE for upcoming dates. Contact Director Judi for more information.
Support Group Dinner
Bring the whole family for pizza! On the second Monday of each month (with a few exceptions) your entire family is invited to pizza at 6:30pm. After dinner, parents are able to spend time together in conversation and fellowship while the children enjoy fun activities in a loving and supervised environment. Click HERE for upcoming dates. Reservations are required. Contact Director Judi for more information.
Rhythms of Grace, our quarterly worship experience, is designed to provide a time of worship for your whole family – including your special needs child – with hands on experiences, music, story time, and communion or blessing.
At King of Kings we believe all youth should be able to participate in a Confirmation program. With this in mind, we have designed a Special Needs program to welcome and incorporate any youth wanting this experience. Please contact Director Judi if you would like more information.
Special Needs VBS
Every summer King of Kings offers a weeklong Vacation Bible School for children with Special Needs. This fun event incorporates games, crafts, Bible stories, music, and more to make Jesus a real and living example in our everyday lives! Each child is assigned a “buddy” to pair with for the week. Vacation Bible School 2019 will be held August 5-9, 2019 and will include a morning or evening session to choose from. Registration will begin in April.
